For our team, communication is an open discussion about the diagnosis, prognosis, treatment options, and informed decision making that goes along with the patient's specific case. Proper communication throughout the channels itself can be a significant relief to patients and their families. Simply having someone to coordinate can remove at least one challenging step for families.
